Is it better to search for properties on Daft.ie or MyHome.ie?

The quick answer is you need to search on both 🤷♂️
Daft.ie and MyHome.ie are Ireland's largest two property portals. They both have approx 90% of residential properties for sale listed on their sites. Unfortunately, it's not the same 90% and so to ensure you are seeing as many properties as possible, you need to search both websites.
If you do this, you'll see 95%+ of properties for sale. The remainder would be very small agents who do not pay for Daft or MyHome or private listings where the vendor does not want it published.
Then before listing their property on Daft.ie or MyHome.ie, some estate agents will list on their own site or market to their own database of buyers first. So make sure you check out local estate agents in the area you are looking in and sigh up to any mailing lists they have or you may get contacted about any private listings that come their way.
TOP TIP
Create accounts on both Daft.ie and MyHome.ie and set up search alerts for properties matching your criteria (location, size, price etc.). Then when a new property is listed, you'll get a notification or email to let you know about it. Most buyers still don't do this, so if you do you'll have an edge over most of the market as you'll be able to reach out to the estate agent first.
Remember, house hunting in Ireland is like a full time job and it will test your patience. So you do need to put in a lot of ground work to ensure you are getting to view and bid on as many properties as possible which will meet your criteria.
